Appointments
Conusltations are by appoiontment and can be booked in person at reception or over the telephone during opening hours.
Please see our opening times page for details of when our doctors and nurses are available at both of our locations.
As a patient of the practice, you can express a preference as to which doctor you would prefer to see. This could mean that there may not be an appointment with the doctor of your choice on the day requested. If you are not prepared to wait, or your condition requires attention sooner, you will be offered the first available appointment with one of the other doctors.
- Please remember to make a separate appointment for each person to be seen.
- Please inform the receptionist if you need a longer than usual appointment for additional discussions or for a medical. Doing this will save you making another appointment at a later date.
- Please avoid telephoning for non-urgent appointments or results before 10:00.
For routine matters please arrange to see your usual doctor who will know your medical history. You can book a follow-up appointment two weeks in advance. Please avoid Mondays.
Urgent Problems
If you feel that your problem is urgent and our staff are unable to offer you an appointment that day or you are unable to attend the surgery your details will be recorded and a doctor/nurse practitioner will ring you back and deal with the problem appropriately that day.
Telephone Consultations
In some instances, you may only wish advice or reassurance regarding your condition. In such circumstances telephone consultations are available.
Practice Nurses
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
